FMC’s Transition to HTTPS for HSTS Compliancy

Posted

In compliance with the Office of Management and Budget memorandum M-15-13, the Federal Maritime Commission has implemented all agency websites and web services to require the use of Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS).

Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure provides a secure encrypted connection in order to protect data from interception or alteration, which can subject users to eavesdropping, tracking, and the modification of received data.

As a result of this transition, some links within the Federal Maritime Commission’s website might not function. In the event that this failure occurs please report the broken link to the FMC Webmaster.

Thank you for your patience during this time of transition.
