Commissioner Dye Providing Keynote Address at WESCCON 2022

Commissioner Rebecca Dye will provide the Luncheon Keynote address at WESCCON 2022, the annual meeting of the Pacific Coast Council of Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders (PCC). Topics she will address include developments related to demurrage and detention, implementing recommendations she has made as part of her Fact Finding 29 investigation, and how the Commission is implementing the Ocean Shipping Reform Act of 2022. Commissioner Sola Speaking at AAPA Annual Convention

Chairman Maffei to Address NCBFAA Annual Conference

May 3, 2022 | Tucson, AZ

Chairman Daniel B. Maffei will participate in a panel discussion addressing the topic “Stemming the Tide on Port Congestion” being held as part of the 49th National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) Annual Conference. The panel is scheduled to take place from 8:45am-10:00am (Mountain) on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. He will deliver the keynote address on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 8:00am-8:45 am (Mountain). The conference, which runs from May 1-4, 2022, is open to the public, but there is a fee to attend. Commissioner Sola to Deliver Commencement Speech to Parkland College Graduating Class

Commissioner Louis E. Sola will deliver the commencement address to the 2022 Parkland College graduating class and where he will be recognized as a distinguished alumni. The ceremony will take place at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts at Illinois. Please note, this is not a part of the Parkland College campus.

 

 

Commissioner Bentzel Panelist at Conference of U.S. & Canadian Transportation Lawyers

Commissioner Carl W. Bentzel will participate on a panel discussing “Colonial Times to the Present: Protecting America’s Supply Chain” at the 2022 TLA Annual Conference and Canadian Transport Lawyers Association Midyear Meeting. Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) Intermodal EXPO

Commissioner Bentzel will be attending the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) Intermodal EXPO. The Commissioner will address an educational joint session three standing committees; the Intermodal Operations Committee, the Maintenance & Repair Committee, and the Intermodal Safety Committee. He will be presenting preliminary Maritime Transportation Data initiative (MTDI) recommendations.

The Intermodal EXPO brings together roughly 1,500 thought leaders from across the entire intermodal/containerized freight landscape. The event is committed to providing valuable engagement opportunities and educational resources that are data-driven, actionable, and inspiring. IANA features a balanced mix of education, exhibition, networking, and organizational committee and board activities.

Commissioner Bentzel will be addressing the Chambers Transportation Infrastructure Logistics Committee (TILC) about OSRA implementation, the FMCs recent fact finding efforts, and the Commissioner’s preliminary MTDI recommendations. The TILC comprises of Chamber members acutely focused on transportation, logistics, and infrastructure issues.
