Commissioner Maffei speaks at the Conference of the Americas and visits Port Canaveral

From December 4-5 Commissioner Maffei traveled to Orlando, FL to participate in the Second Annual Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Conference of the Americas. The Commissioner joined a panel titled “EU-Americas Transshipment – U.S. at the Crossroads or Just Getting in the Way,” which discussed the benefits and impediments of transiting intercontinental cargo through the United States and foreign ports.

While in Florida the Commissioner also visited Port Canaveral, where he toured the Port and met with Port executives.
