Public

The Federal Maritime Commission is the federal agency responsible for regulating the nation’s international ocean transportation for the benefit of exporters, importers, and the American consumer. The FMC’s mission is to ensure a competitive and reliable international ocean transportation supply system that supports the U.S. economy and protects the public from unfair and deceptive practices.

Household Goods Shippers

A household goods move involves individual consumers sending their own household goods or personal property overseas from the U.S. for relocation or return to the U.S. from abroad. It also can involve shipping goods to relatives or associates overseas.
