Shipping 2030 North America Conference

Commissioner Doyle will be speaking at the Shipping 2030 North America Conference in New York City. He will discuss the Commission's unanimous decision to allow Maersk Line's "Temporary Exemption Service Contract Filings" as a result of the Petya virus cyber attack that severely disrupted Maersk’s information systems, including the system that stores service contract data. The Commissioner will participate in a panel discussion titled "Maritime Cyberwatch."

Commissioner Doyle will attend the naming ceremony of Evergas’ new 27,500 cbm LNG multigas carrier at the Tioga Marine Terminal and will speak during the event’s celebration dinner.

National Retail Federation’s Joint International Trade/Supply Chain Meeting

Commissioner Doyle will speak at a joint meeting of the National Retail Federation’s (NRF’s) Policy Council, International Trade Advisory Committee (ITAC), and Strategic Supply Chain Council (SSCC) on current industry issues including carrier alliances, post-Hanjin bankruptcy matters, and port congestion. The Joint International Trade/Supply Chain Meeting is part of NRF’s Big Show 2017 in New York City.

OTI License Update Procedures Webinar, NCBFAA Educational Institute

Cliff Johnson, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Certification & Licensing, will provide a step-by-step tutorial on how ocean freight forwarders and non-vessel owning common carriers should use the Commission’s new on-line OTI License update webpage. This webinar is being hosted by the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association Educational Institute (NEI) and is being made available free of charge. Registration is required.
