Commissioner Harvey Attends White House Summit on American Quantum Innovation

Commissioner Harvey attended the White House Summit on American Quantum Innovation on July 7, 2026.

This summit brought together senior administration officials and leading quantum industry representatives to discuss supply chain resilience, accelerating commercialization, and workforce development around quantum technology.

This summit comes shortly after President Trump signed two executive orders related to quantum technology and cybersecurity policy, expediting the integration and research of quantum information science and technology (QIST). This administration is positioning America as the world’s leading QIST superpower through innovative research, advanced market integration, and extensive manufacturing.

Commissioner Harvey said, “President Trump’s leadership will indeed supercharge U.S. innovation in quantum technologies.”

Quantum technology will have immense benefits to both the American economy and national security. “Quantum technologies are transforming the maritime sector in areas such as quantum navigation, fleet optimization, and cryptography,” remarked Commissioner Harvey.
