Commissioner Sola Discusses LNG at AAPA Legislative Summit
Commissioner Louis E. Sola participated on a Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) Exports panel at the American Association of Port Authorities Legislative Summit held in Washington, D.C. in March where he highlighted the importance of LNG in reducing carbon emissions.
Commissioner Sola Meets with Bahamian Ambassador to Address Opportunities for Maritime Cooperation
Commissioner Louis E. Sola met with Wendall K. Jones, Ambassador of the Bahamas to the United States, to discuss critical maritime issues.
Commissioner Bentzel issued a second Request for Information for the Maritime Transportation Data Initiative (MTDI). The questions in the second seek feedback related to recommendations made in the MTDI Report addressing transparency, data accuracy and cargo availability.
Commissioner Bentzel wrote President Biden to urge the Administration to consider administrative or legislative initiatives that would help workers and industries impacted by the temporary closure of the Port of Baltimore.
Statement of Commissioner Carl W. Bentzel on the Port of Gulfport Roundtable
Commissioner Bentzel participated in an industry roundtable hosted by the Port of Gulfport in March 2024.
Commissioner Bentzel provided the keynote speech to the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association at their inaugural Supply Chain and Logistics Summit held in February, where he discussed how conditions in the Red Sea and the Panama Canal are impacting shipping. He also addressed what is necessary to mitigate future supply chain disruptions.
