Chairman Cordero will be honored by the Bi-State Motor Carriers with the "Malcom McLean Award" on August 2, 2016. The award is dedicated in memory of Malcom McLean, the visionary who invented shipping containerization and revolutionized the international freight industry. It is the highest honor bestowed by the Association of Bi-State Motor Carriers.

"Are you ready for SOLAS"—A Luncheon Discussion Hosted by Women in Logistics (WIL) and the Warehouse Education & Research Council (WERC).

Chairman of the Federal Maritime Commission Mario Cordero will participate in a panel discussion exploring how business and operations may change under the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) amendments that require shippers provide ocean carriers the Verified Gross Mass of a container before it can be loaded aboard a vessel.
