The Federal Maritime Commission ("FMC" or "Commission") has determined to request that the parties to the Transpacific Stabilization Agreement ("TSA"), FMC Agreement No. 011223-043, provide additional information pursuant to 46 U.S.C. § 40304(d). The Commission's request for additional information delays the effectiveness of amendment No. 043 until 45 days after the parties have submitted the requested information and documents. Amendment 043 would add authority for the TSA parties to discuss and reach agreement on, among other things, a program to address ship capacity deployed in the eastbound transpacific trade.
A copy of the Transpacific Stabilization Agreement and pending amendment 043, are available on the Commission's website at http://www2.fmc.gov/agreements.
